The City of Be'er-Sheva is excited to celebrate, with its visitors from Israel, from Australia from New Zealand and from throughout the world, 100 years since "The Battle of Be'er Sheva", the cavalry battle that led to the liberation of the city.

You are invited to a series of ceremonies, events, shows and exhibitions to be held in Be'er-Sheva to mark this historic date.

The following are events to be held on October 30th:

17:00 - Exhibition opening Tracks and Traces: Contemporary Australian Art, The Negev Museum of Art*

The following is the schedule for October 31st:

09:00 – 10:00  Official ceremony, in the presence of the Prime Ministers of Israel and Australia, at the British Cemetery.*
10:15 – 10:45  Dedication ceremony of the Center for the Commemoration of ANZAC Soldiers.
11:00 – 11:30  A memorial ceremony for the Turkish soldiers at the monument of the Turkish soldier.*
12:00 – 12:30  A cavalry parade along Ha'atzmaut St. in the Old City.
14:00 – 14:30  Memorial ceremony for New Zealand soldiers in Tel Be'er-Sheva.*
14:50 – 15:30  Reenactment of the cavalry attack at the Be'er-Sheva River Park (from 14:00 there is a pedestrian crossing from the former Bedouin market area via the Turkish bridge)
